The Stonze™ System is a unique approach that has accounted for some incredible catches – tonnes of fish - carp to over 60lb, record breaking barbel including the first ever 20lb plus fish in the UK, and now the first ever 21lb plus fish in the UK, and monumental tench hauls, to name but a few. To now be able to replace the largest piece of your terminal tackle, the weight, normally made from toxic lead, for a nigh on 100% natural weight in the Stonze™ (we still need a swivel or other attachment!) has proved to be a massive and genuine angling edge.
Anglers have come to realise that a Stonze™ will not only more than adequately do the job of a lead weight in the vast majority of angling situations, but also a Stonze™ benefits from added features that no other weight naturally has. It’s clear that more and more anglers are recognising and appreciating the benefits of the Stonze™ since the readers of Total Carp voted them Best New Product 2003.
In 2008 Pallatrax took the Stonze™ to America through the largest fishing trade show of its kind in the world - ICAST. The American anglers, retailers and media immediateley saw and appreciated not only the natural benefits of fishing a Stonze™, as opposed to leads and other man-made objects, but also the enormous environmental implications. Up against numerous companies worldwide, Pallatrax and the Stonze™ won Best New Product in the Terminal Tackle range - the first for a UK company in the 75-year history of the running of the Show!
In January 2009, continuing our winning streak, the Stonze™ won Best Environmental Fishing Product of 2009 - as voted by the 2 million readership of the Canadian magazine 'Outdoor Canada'. When choosing the top new tackle for the year ahead, Outdoor Canada state that they are looking for three simple elements: value, quality and excellence. To receive a Best New Gear Award, the equipment must also be innovative and designed for angling in Canada - Stonze™ definitely foot the bill.
It is such an obvious thing to have replaced that large man-made and totally unnatural weight for one that boasts being totally natural in a Stonze™, which can be flavoured and/or used as a method feeder. Every one is unique in colour, shape, size and weight. The list of positive attributes in a Stonze™ goes on and you can’t argue with the facts. We're certain that once used you will quickly appreciate and benefit from their unique fishing attributes. For years, anglers have endeavoured to camouflage their terminal tackle, and that very much includes their weight. Lead or other man-made weights will always be a man-made object, however you try to disguise them; a Stonze™ is a stone and ignore them at your peril! 
The next logical step was the LILO (Line In, Line Out) System. Basically, everything that can be is concealed within an in-line Stonze™. Your mainline goes into the in-line Stonze™ and your hooklink comes out the other end. All knots and swivels, etc, are now totally concealed inside your Stonze™, which is completely natural and undetectable to the fish.
Adding another string to our bow, we signed up to become the UK distributor for Gamma fishing line. We had been looking for a line to add to our comprehensive range, but wanted to be able to offer something different - a line that actually gave the angler a genuine edge. Rather than launching a Pallatrax fishing line, we have teamed up with Gamma Technologies whose fishing lines are molecularly altered to offer a stronger more abrasive resistant line with no compromise to diameter and other attributes.
We have also been fortunate not only to develop our range of fishing tackle, but also our proven bait range. The facilities we had at Pallington Lakes were second to none, allowing us to develop our own unique baits. Due to the expansion of the terminal tackle range and the bait range, we took the decision to move to bespoke premises in Devon. We still benefit from a rigorous field-testing programme in all different kinds of angling situations, which has resulted in baits with their own undeniable pedigree. Simply put, baits that would catch a lot of fish for Pallatrax, but would also enable the fish to gain healthy and consistent weight from the feed management side that exists. It had initially been pure chance that the baits subsequently left Pallington with very happy and confident anglers to end up plundering waters both here and in Europe, and have now branched further afield into the USA and Canada.
With the excellent facilities and fieldtesters, we now offer a complete Barbel Bait range - from frozen paste to glugs, from pellets to shelf-life Whisker Sticks (hookbaits).
Due to popular demand, we have now launched our range of shelf life boilies. These include the three most popular flavours of Jungle (tigernut and peanut), Pommes (apple and walnut) and Crave (fish and plum) and now, more recently BLOODWORM Boilies. All available in 14mm and 18mm.
We are also now concentrating on baits specifically aimed at the match angler, but can be used across the board. Fieldtesters are reporting phenomenal successes, so it's only a matter of time.......
