Lee Pollard on Pallatrax Minimize

Lee PollardWhen I arrived at Whelford Pools, there were three other anglers on the lake who had been on there for several nights with out much success.  After a short chat with each of them, they had told me they had tried pretty much everything bait wise and were struggling for pick ups.
As I made my way around the venue, I soon spotted a couple of good fish, laid up under some over hanging trees and seemed pretty catchable, I was back to the car to get the gear like a shot!

I was soon set up in the swim with in-line Stonze on both rods and hook links about four inches long made from Pallatrax Steamlink.  I crept down to the waters edge where I had seen the carp laying in the sunken branches and trickled in a small amount of pellets and some of the new Pallatrax bait.

Soon after, I had a rod on the baited spot with a small bag of pellets and the new bait as my hook bait.  With in minutes the rod was away and the first fish of the session was on.  As I got the fish on the bank, I could see the other anglers looking in amazement as they had sat there biteless for quite some time.

The runs just kept coming thick and fast, and after just under 48hrs I had put fifteen carp on the bank, which included six twenty pounders.  Sadly, I had to go home as I had totally run out of bait, but it was certainly a session I won’t forget in a hurry!

Since I started on Pallatrax, I have caught carp from some very hard waters where most others have struggled, and all I can put it down to is the top quality bait and end tackle that Pallatrax produce, which always seems to outwit these very rig shy and heavily fished for carp, and it has increased my catch rate for sure.

Special thanks to the Pallatrax team.
