John Loftus joins Pallatrax
By @ 10:56 :: 1291 Views :: Pallatrax News Releases, In The Press

Pallatrax announce that John Loftus has joined them as non executive chairman.

Simon Pomeroy, Managing Director of Pallatrax said, “I have known John for some time and he agreed recently to formalise our business relationship by becoming chairman of our company. His extensive knowledge of markets worldwide will be of huge benefit to our strategy both in the U.K. and overseas.

John will advise us on what we do and how we do it and direct us towards our future goals, he will be a tremendous attribute to our company and it will be great to work alongside someone with his credentials."

John has spent fifty years in the tackle industry and has held senior roles with both Daiwa and Shimano, bringing both companies to the U.K. market, and for many years until his first attempt at “retirement” was Managing Director for the latter in Europe, Middle East and Africa. For the past 3 years he has been retained by Rapala VMC Corp as a consultant, a position which he will continue at this time.

John states, “For some time I have been an admirer of Pallatrax and a friend of Simon and his wife Tini. They have superb products in the patented STONZE system and the excellent Gamma line, as well as their rather special and different ground and hook bait products. I hope that my input may help them in some small way to achieve their goals of worldwide distribution for STONZE and an enhanced representation for the system as well as Gamma lines in the U.K.

It has been shown that not only are STONZE environmentally safe, but that using them definitely catches more fish. In many areas of the world lead is now carrying health warnings and there are proven links to serious illness, we already have a partial ban in the U.K. which recognises these facts, however it is ironically on small lead; it surely cannot be too much longer before the authorities recognise it for what it is, a dangerous heavy metal and ban it totally.

With the latest STONZE range there is now no need to use a poisonous substance as we have them from very small, approximately one quarter ounce, right up to approximately twelve ounces and with the price of lead escalating daily, STONZE are a very competitive alternative.

Although my position will be very much in the background I hope that it may give me the opportunity to meet up with many dealers and distributors worldwide whom I am fortunate to count as friends and, whilst not directly involved in sales in the U.K., will be pleased to receive calls from dealers interested in becoming the outlet for these fine products in their area. At this time we do not have representation in the field but I am anxious to change that and welcome contact from interested agents who recognise the potential for these fine products”.
