Alex Ives lands ‘missing’ Heart Tail common

Pallatrax Team Member, Alex Donk Ives recently managed a a couple of hours on a peg on his syndicate water that he’d been pre-baiting with a mixture of Jungle and Crave Squabs. When he arrived the peg was fizzing and full of life. He cast out and within 30 minutes was into a fish, which put up a right fight. Alex couldn’t believe his eyes when he finally landed the fish as it was one that has been on the ‘missing – feared dead’ list for nearly 12 months!  Heart Tail was in great shape for a carp nearly 50 years old, if not a little down in weight at 21lb 14oz.  Alex was fishing size 6 Wide Gape Gripz on a fluorocarbon D-rig with LiLo Stonze and 23lb Gamma mainline.
