Pallatrax’s Steamlink hair rigs: Size 6 tied on 25lb Steamlink, Sizes 8 and 10 tied on 15lb Steamlink, on our revolutionary and Green Apple Environmental Award winning GRIPZ hooks.

Pallatrax’s unique translucent coated Steamlink is a revolutionary hooklink which has been developed with an extremely fine and flexible Dyneema inner core combined with a stiff outer coating, which can be steamed for rigidity, and is possibly the ultimate material to create extremely effective combi rigs for both bottom bait and pop-up presentations.

The advantage of the translucent coating is that it allows the hooklink to blend in with the colour of the bottom your fishing over.

Our GRIPZ Hair Rigs are available in braid, fluorocarbon and Steamlink hooklink material. Developed for their consistency, the length of the rigs makes them very difficult for fish to eject resulting in clear and early bite indication and an efficient hook hold.

Each rig comes with a FREE weight clip and tail rubber.

GRIPZ HOOKS INFORMATION:

After extensive research, where the limitations of both barbed and barbless were scrutinised, there has been an obvious need for improvement thus resulting in this radical design that crosses the boundaries between what we have had and what we now have.

Made from high grade Japanese wire, the key improvement has been the introduction of a series of minute horizontal grooves on the inside of the specially designed arrow shaped hook point, where historically the barb would have been. These grooves allow the hook to hold securely in the fish’s mouth when pressure is applied, as the flesh presses into the grooves resulting in a firm hook hold with no slippage. As soon as the pressure is removed the hook returns to a barbless format allowing for easy and safe removal. Simple but so very effective.

None of us can deny that this is a serious and genuine development within the hook sector and one that is set to transform the sport and truly add benefits for both anglers, fish and fisheries. The distinct advantages of GRIPZ Hooks are easy to appreciate when you consider hook slippage, fish loss via barbless patterns, hook removal damage and trailing rigs through barbed patterns.

Initially GRIPZ are offered in sizes 6, 8 and 10’s in the same Wide Gape style as Pallatrax’s successful and existing hook pattern, ‘The Hook’. With a dull finish and unbelievably sharp, the GRIPZ hooks are complimented with a range of nine, extremely effective, hair rigs using the three sizes of GRIPZ and hand tied in the UK on Pallatrax high quality Steamlink, Braid and Fluorocarbon.
