Team member Llewelyn Wilson arrived at his local lake

Team member Llewelyn Wilson arrived at his local lake recently, he placed one rod down in the margin approximately 1.5m off the bank in two foot of water and fed several handfuls of 12mm pellet into the swim to entice the fish onto his spot.

At 3:45pm Llewelyn could see lots of tails and dorsal fins coming out of the water over the spot he had baited, he could see they were feeding heavily so waited with anticipation.

At 3:55pm he had a screaming run on his rod which took him under the island and all around the lake several times. After having an immense 20 minute battle with our Straight Point Gripz Hook holding firm, the fish finally gave up and slipped into the waiting net.

This was a new personal best for Llewelyn weighing in at 27lb 8oz and after speaking to the bailiff it was confirmed that this is the biggest mirror carp in the lake and that she hasn’t seen the bank in two years!!

In the same session Llewelyn also had six 20lb+ fish and ten 15lb-18lb carp to back up his new pb. All in all a very successful session for Llewelyn.
